Yea!!! Raced the Aprilia SXV 5.5 for the first time at St. Louis last weekend. Of course, we spent the night before setting the bike up for it's first race. We were not sure what to expect out of tire performance as all we had was the stock tires that came with the bike. We were extremely happy with how the bike performed and only plan on doing some suspension adjustments for the next race. The tires exceeded our expectations as well. Having not raced at St. Louis for some time and this being the first race on the SXV, we were happy walking away with a 3rd and 5th place.
Funny thing is that there were few racers that we knew participating in the race and everyone was wondering where we came from. St. Louis is the closest track to us, however, all of our time has been spent the last few years racing the MOTO-ST series on our factory sponsored Aprilia Tuono RSV 1000's.
The SXV was alot of fun to ride and we look forward to the next race. Don't think that we will attend Black Hawk this weekend as the weather looks to be bad.

Did you ever get the suspension sorted? I'm trying to RR a SXV550 as well, and besides the head shake on the front straight, I love it!!
I took it to a track day to sort it out, but the trackside support had no idea how to better the suspension on the SM chassis, besides saying to "crank up the back end to the max"...
